The State of Mexico comes up most
Every town has the same chance, so states with more towns come up more often. The State of Mexico, around the capital, leads with 260; the list calls it México. Veracruz has 152 and Puebla 133. Aguascalientes has 11.

Is Mexico City the same as México?
No. México in the list is the State of Mexico, which surrounds the capital. Mexico City is its own entry, with 26 places.
Does it include Baja California?
Yes, both states: Baja California has 36 towns in the list and Baja California Sur 14. Santa Isabel, near Mexicali, is the most northern town.
Are Cancún and Tulum in the list?
Yes. Quintana Roo has 14 towns, including Cancún, Tulum, Playa del Carmen and Cozumel.
Do town names keep their Spanish spelling?
Yes, accents included, such as Mérida and San Luis Potosí.
How close to Guatemala does it go?
Chiapas has 85 towns in the list. Brisas Barra de Suchiate, on the border river, is the most southern.
